Hard Water and Mineral Deposits
You may see a film build up on the inside of your dishwasher due to grease, residue, limescale and mineral deposits from the water supply: particularly if you have hard water. You may also see yellow, brown, or rust-colored staining on the inside of your dishwasher caused by the iron in your water. This filming and staining can be removed from the interior of the dishwasher and the nozzles in the sprayer arms by using Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner every month.
You may need to check that the sprayer arm nozzles are free from blockages. If they are blocked, run Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner to remove the buildup in the sprayer arms.
Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner
Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner helps ensure dishwasher care including shiny stainless steel interiors, maintain the mechanical power of the spray arm, and help the machine reach the optimal heating temperature.
Other Dishwasher Maintenance Tips
- Use only detergents that are made specifically for an automatic dishwasher.
- Arrange all sharp items so they are not likely to damage the door seal.
- Be sure to load sharp knives with the handles up.
- Never wash items such as electronic air cleaner filters, furnace filters or paint brushes in the dishwasher. This may result in damage, discoloration or staining of the dishwasher.
